Who are we?
We are genderqueer folx and women. While similar to “FLINTA”, we believe this description is more inclusive.
Queer
While not a universal definition, to be queer is to fully understand that these concepts are independent from each other.
| Term | What it Means |
|---|---|
| Biological Sex | A person’s physical sexual characteristics (e.g. chromosomes, hormones, anatomy) |
| Gender Identity | The internal sense of being a man, woman, both, neither, or something else entirely |
| Gender Expression | How a person presents gender outwardly (e.g. clothing, pronouns, hair, mannerisms, voice) |
| Sexuality | Who a person is attracted to — romantically, sexually, or both |
This contrasts with the traditional view that all four are bound together by the sex assigned at birth.
