Who are we?

We are genderqueer folx and women. While similar to “FLINTA”, we believe this description is more inclusive.

Queer

While not a universal definition, to be queer is to fully understand that these concepts are independent from each other.

TermWhat it Means
Biological SexA person’s physical sexual characteristics (e.g. chromosomes, hormones, anatomy)
Gender IdentityThe internal sense of being a man, woman, both, neither, or something else entirely
Gender ExpressionHow a person presents gender outwardly (e.g. clothing, pronouns, hair, mannerisms, voice)
SexualityWho a person is attracted to — romantically, sexually, or both

This contrasts with the traditional view that all four are bound together by the sex assigned at birth.
